Note
DELIBERATELY OPEN-ENDED, and it will need a successor bracket eventually. Collides by name with `style.contemporary`, which means the prevailing current idiom rather than a date; the axis prefix disambiguates. A 2024 building in full Georgian pastiche is `period.contemporary` and is emphatically not `style.contemporary`, which is the case that shows why the two cannot be merged.
