A formal move is a building-scale geometric decision: a cantilever, a courtyard, a sawtooth roof. It is not the visible outline of a supplied unit, a product profile, an idiom or a mood.

Why there are no terms yet

Identified by the crosswalk-residue test (TAX-14) from an architecture-projects platform's Sculptural value. That platform's own FORMAL_MOVE_EXAMPLES is the obvious starting point. Not yet authored. A materials-retrieval system's ms_shape was considered as a seed on 2026-08-27 and REJECTED: its twelve terms (linear, fluted, channelled, blocky, slender, faceted, gridded, organic) describe a product's own profile, while this axis asks what geometric move a building makes. Seeding it here would put two questions on one axis, which is the defect every boundary in ADR 0001 exists to prevent. Part of ms_shape is also texture-adjacent - fluted and channelled are relief, and finish.texture already carries ribbed - so it needs decomposing before it seeds anything, not adopting whole.
